Activity Tracker Recommendations
We have a few different categories of wearables that we'd recommend:
- Try It Out - If you're not ready to purchase a wearable sensor yet, you can download apps from Moves or Fitbit. If you have a supported phone (Moves supports Android and IPhone; Fitbit supports iPhone 5S and above), you can install an app so you can track your daily steps, distance and calories burned.
- Every Day Use - These wearables are great for every day use. Not only can you track your daily activity (steps, distance, calories burned, etc), but you can also track your sleep, nutritional intake, get daily activity reminders and more.
- Active Lifestyle - Like the Every Day Use wearables, these trackers go an extra level beyond and let you track your workouts and measure your heart rate (during workout and resting heart rate) and location. Whether you're going to the gym, running outside, hiking, doing yoga, CrossFit, or lifting weights, these wearables will have you covered.
- Performance - The performance category is for people that are pretty serious about working out and training. These smart watches tend to have extra features beyond the ones listed in Active Lifestyle. And, there are also smart shirts that track your body movement, heart rate, respiration rate, sleep, and more.
